Using 4.15.3. I recently joined a team working on a project, and was given a plugin to download and work with. I was instructed to extract it to the Epic Games/UE_4,15/Engine/Plugins/Marketplace folder, and did so.
When I start my launcher, the plugin does not appear in my vault to add to a project.
I was instructed to login to a company account to install the plugin from there, and once I had completed that step, I logged back in to my launcher, and it appeared under the Vault. I added it to my new project, it then appeared when I clicked on Installed Plugins, and proceeded to start to work with it.
The next day, I opened the launcher, and the plugin was gone from the Vault listing, and when I clicked on Installed Plugins, nothing showed up there at all. I still seem to be able to use it from within my created project, but as it stands I can’t add it to another project from inside the Library in the Launcher.
I discussed this with some of the project team, and found out that one other person who had recently installed 4.15.3 also had the same issue of the plugin not appearing after they extracted it to the UE_4.15/Engine/Plugins/Marketplace location.
I am stumped, and being relatively new to UE I don’t really know if I was told to put it in the wrong folder location for this version or if there is a bug at work.
I searched the bug reports for some dozen pages or so, as well as searched the forums for some 10-12 pages of posts and hadn’t found this issue reported or discussed.
