I have tried several techniques because out of the box it isn’t working. I have heavily customized the heads of a few metahumans, and while the control rigs and animations still work–I get funky results in the neck.
I have tried disabling the post-process animation blueprint. I have tried using Mesh Mopher’s bone snapshots, and I have tried a third option where the head IK is moved from the head to the body. The last option has the best results, but gives my characters this dancing cobra look that is disturbing. Video here: Metahuman Neck Weirdness - YouTube
If I move the head/neck with the control rig, it moves in the opposite direction. It’s like the head is parented to the hips only at 180 degrees, so it sways opposite the direction it should. I have no idea how to fix this, so any input would help a lot.
Shouldn’t the captured MH Animation just work with the body?
