Issues with distance field ambient occlusion

Hey all, I’m having this issue across most of my assets.

I have some very dark areas where my distance field ambient occlusion is a little too strong.

On the asset, I have set roughly the following for all my assets (1). I have also ticked “generate distance fields” (2).

When I increase the distance field resolution scale it does make the asset lighter as intended (3) while it generates the mesh distance fields. Once it has completed it pops back to being as dark as it was previously. (4)

I have played with my skylight settings as well (5). I’m pretty sure the issue lies in my distance field ambient occlusion. I’m just not too sure how to control it. I do also have a post-processing volume for this area which has a LUT plugged in. However, I have disabled this and still have the same errors described above.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
