Hello wonderful Unreal Community,
I hope this message finds you well. I’ve embarked on an exciting project to create a rocket car, and I’m envisioning a dynamic fuse hanging down from the rocket. However, I’ve encountered a challenge that I hope some of you might have insights on.
The Challenge:
I’ve been using the Cable Component to simulate the fuse, but despite numerous adjustments, the cable remains unexpectedly stiff. It appears as though it’s sticking or being constrained by an unseen force, even when placed in open space.
Steps I’ve Taken:
- Adjusted the
Solver Iterations
for a more accurate simulation. - Tweaked the
Cable Length
andEnd Location
to ensure the cable isn’t overly taut. - Disabled the
Enable Stiffness
option for added flexibility. - Ensured no collisions are affecting the cable’s starting point.
- Verified the world’s gravity settings and the cable’s own gravity multiplier.
- Even started a fresh project with a basic template to test the cable in a pristine environment.
The Vision:
I’m aiming to create a rocket car with a fuse that dangles and moves dynamically as the car maneuvers. Additionally, I’d love to attach a spark effect to the end of this fuse, enhancing the visual appeal and realism.
If anyone can help you are the bestest! <3 UwU
