Issue with Perforce on UE5

Hi There,
I keep seeing “Error:Perforce password (P4PASSWD) invalid or unset” when I try to set up my source control on UE5 with perforce…

Confirmed that password & username is correct bc I was able to connect through P4V properly… The issue is I am not even seen a spot to input password inside of the editor… can you help?

Hi, I’m having the same issue. I had it working for a bit, but it spontaneously stopped working. I can connect from P4V just fine but the editor just keeps bombing out with the P4PASSWD message.

Hi, for anyone else having this issue:

At least in my case it seems to be caused by having multiple login credentials accessible on your machine.

Logging out of all accounts in p4v and then logging back in with just the account used in editor resolved the issue.

There is a solution:

p4passwd not set

Open P4V Log in with the perforce account that you want to use in UE Go to Connection > Environment settings, a window will pop up Check “Use current connection for environment settings” checkbox Click OK Open UE Go to Tools > Change Revision Control Settings Select Provider “Perforce” Check “Use P4 Config” checkbox.
