Issue with Complex Collision Mesh and collisions display

Hi,

I’m seeking assistance regarding the utilization of the “Complex Collision Mesh” option within Unreal Engine.

I’ve set up a model designated to be used as “complex collision mesh” for a static mesh object. Then, I’ve enabled the ‘Use Complex As Simple’ option.

In the static mesh window, the complex collisions seem to match the model specifically created for it :

while in the editor, the collision display changes :

I have two questions:

  1. Why this difference in display? Does this imply that the complex collision mesh doesn’t work?

  2. What is the difference between using the complex collision mesh and creating custom collisions?
