I plan to publish a set of animations at some point to Fab, am i allowed to use a character mesh bought on fab under “Fab Standard License” in said animation pack, from what i understand that would be a transformative use and not “Standalone”. But i did not find any specifics in the liscence description, am i allowed to use assets bought on Fab in my own Fab products?
According to Fab EULA, I think, you can’t do it. It would be an act of reselling of a product acquired on Fab, which is - of course - forbidden.
You don’t own the copyright for the asset you bought on Fab, you can use it in your games, videos, screenshots but, by all means, you’re not allowed to redistribute it.
Yeah, could be, but i’m confused on the “standalone” part, it does leave room for use but does not specify in which way. But either way, thank you for answering!
I understand what you mean, the word “standalone” is confusing. But, logically, if you distribute an asset of someone else with your assets, people buying your product will get one asset that is not yours without paying for it. Which is evidently not OK, imho.
