Is unreal engine 4.27 or 5.0 and above better for me ?

Hi here are my specs:
8 GB Ram
i5-7 GEN @ 2.71 Ghz
HD Graphics 620

So unreal engine 4.27 or 5.0 and above , which will perform better for me after I disable features like global lighting, all those lumens, virtual shadow maps , nanite and so on ?
How can I increase my performance on unreal 5 even more , what can i do ?
I know my device is weak but still what’s the best I can develop on ?
Also I ran 4.27 on device weaker than this for around 60 FPS.

You’ll probably be fighting with the engine less with 4.27, but 5.0-5.4 have gotten some performance improvements. Would probably depend on the type of game too.

With those specs I’d stay with 4.27. You are not going to take advantage of any of 5.0 and above’s new features (nanite or lumen). Maybe mega lights could be an option but it pretty new and not sure of the hardware requirements for it.

This may change in the future once the 5x version matures and becomes more optimized.

So I should
just stay with 4.27

Hey there @BatMechSuit02! Welcome back to the community! I would also recommend you stick with 4.27, as with these specs you are still likely to struggle a bit. Disabling real-time rendering in the viewport with ctrl+r is going to help immensely.
