Looking through the UE5.6 true first person sci-fi fps template I noticed if you look/aim all the way down the character model’s arms clip into its body mesh. Is there a scheduled fix planned? Could use an aim offset!

May as well ask your Lord of Blades for help. I think you actually have more chance than with epic.
Consider this. Back in ue4 the 3rd person character has some real issues where the only thing making it work is runtime retargeting - 12 years or more have gone by and guess what? No one fixed it.
You don’t think they will fix the new template? I’d think being an official template that they’d fix that.
Generally, they never fix anything after release unless it is majorly wrong. Like crash the engine wrong…
But I would love to be proven wrong by epic…
I found this tutorial, but not sure if there’s any problems using this example with the FPS template. I’ve seen a number of vids unsure what to do. This vid specifically notes to add animations as additive when adding an offset to an existing base animation, so I figured it may be the best to follow.
I saw that Epic did update a few things in the template fixing the ai and adding a grenade “explosion” vfx, but still no clipping fix. Hope this vid fixes this for me, & anyone else who’s interested in this potential fix, without causing any further issues. I suppose, when I get around to following the vid, I’ll update any progress.
