Is this temporal anti-aliasing ghosting and if so, what can I do about it?


From what I can understand, the above shows an aliasing effect called ghosting that is an unwanted side effect of the temporal antialiasing algorithm.

I’ve tried many ways to mitigate the effect, but none have had any significant impact:

  • Tweaking console commands:
    r.TemporalAACurrentFrameWeight 0.2
    r.TemporalAASamples 4
    r.Tonemapper.Sharpen 0.5

  • Using DLSS

  • Enabling ‘Output velocities during base pass’ in Project Settings | Rendering

I’d really welcome any suggestions as to how to reduce it.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
