Is there studio documentation

Before you read on, if these questions will annoy you, know that I started looking at Unreal only days ago.

I imported a Rhino model.
The Very first thing it says to do is parent interactive objects under interactive root. But it creates all static actors. And that seems to be locked to the Datasmith scene import data asset. Either that or I just can’t find the main model. All the assets look to be an instance.
I’m also sad that part names aren’t read from the file. OBJ and FBX read them, but I was having to push the data through blender first, trying to keep cost down. I’m sure it works better if I use 3dsMax or maya, but I’m not paying for those Just to translate files.

I’m hoping there is documentation related to the Studio tools? I was hoping that was going to be something the designers could use, then hand off if they need something like interaction once they’ve “painted” it the way the like it. They are all familiar with Keyshot/bunkspeed/visualize for the most part. And we can build them interfaces for flipping between configurations.

Maybe that just doesn’t exist. I’m not finding it. But I’m a little surprised that the simple quickstart doesn’t work for me on the very first step.

We made major changes in the Rhino importer for 4.20. You can use the 4.20 Preview 1 to see these changes. Have you watched any of the videos? The documentation is here. We’re still working on all these things as this is a beta.
