Is there multiple ways to paint different materials on landscape or is this possible only trough using “LandscapeLayerBlend”

Is it possible to use complete “Materials” when painting or do I need to organize all the different texture maps of my complete materials into the asset: “new material”. Is there a way to “Import” a whole complete material into the layer blend? "automatically break down the texture maps of the complete material into separate nodes connected to recreate the complete material within the “new material”.
