#shortcuts #UE5

Almost certain you’re getting no answers because no one knows what you really mean. Or maybe it’s just me, you mean those, right?

Why not click on the tab that you need?

Not sure you can step through them with keyboard, perhaps look into how Quick Jumping works - saving and recalling graph locations.

yes i mean those function, i tried to find them in the in the list of functions that we can assign shortcut to them but its not there, im using this more than any thing else in ue5 and it will be helpful if i can assighn them to a short cut to save a lots of time.

I guess it’s not there. Feature Request it. Who knows…

Hey faycal, welcome back!

I looked through every single possible shortcut for the graph editor and they definitely do not have one, the feature request is a good idea.
I will say that the Mousebutton 3+4 I have on my mouse (a wired Razer Naga) that are under the thumb do EXACTLY what you’re asking, just like on a web browser it is the back/forward buttons. Unfortunately I can’t confirm that every mouse will do this, but I am willing to bet most will. I wish I had a better answer for you. Try out a different mouse and see if those buttons have that functionality!

This could be a neat workaround, actually. The more advanced mice have dedicated software whose button functions can be remapped. Setpoint for Logitech, for example.

@Mind-Brain Can you check in the mouse soft what OS functionality is actually bound there? It’s probably something generic like Next / Previous.

It could be a combination of keys like ctrl+tab mapped as a single action.

Sure!

Razer Synapse says the buttons are simply called “Mouse 4” and “Mouse 5”. So that means the program the mouse is being used within ie Firefox/UE5 is looking for “Mouse 4/Mouse 5” inputs and uses that to perform pre-determined functions. The microsoft mouse menu doesn’t even detect them. I was just using the basic driver windows auto-installed for me, I downloaded Razer Synapse just to find out it’s simply Mouse 4/5. There may be a more obtuse way around but I’m not sure.

For Logitech Options, it’s called Forward / Back

And lets me move between tabs with just mouse clicks:

In an internet browser it’s alt + left arrow / alt + right arrow but the editor intercepts that to shift focus between panels. :man_shrugging:

@faycal If you use mouse software, look for a solution there. Maybe a fancy keyboard soft can evoke it in some unorthodox way, too?

If you asked me, the ctr+1-9 to save & shift+1-9 to recall is still a solid alternative once you get used to it.
