Is there a way to migrate files from a project that won't open

This morning I tried to open the project I’ve been working on the past couple months and I got the error -Failed to load ‘aqProf.dll’-

I’ve searched around here and other forums for answers, and it seems like others have run into this issue before. So far I’ve tried reinstalling the engine, deleting files from the last assets I was working on, opening up an autosaved version of the project from weeks ago as well as a copy I sent to a colleague recently, and tried deleting then rebuilding my 5.1 AppData. None of those suggestions worked, and now I’m trying to get all of my content brought into a new project. I can’t seem to import them through the content browser, so my plan is to migrate the files over, but the only way I know how to do that is from inside the project that I can’t get into. Does anyone know any other methods to do this?

Hi ISerathl,

As long as you’re using the same version of UE for the new project, you should be able to copy over the assets using File Explorer, you’ll just have to make sure you copy everything related to each asset (eg a material will have textures, a sound cue will have wavs etc).

Another way could be to delete folders one at a time from your project (after backing up) and see if it loads…
