Is there a way to create a line of trees that follow a topography? Seems like when I place a tree, shift copy in a particular direction, the trees stay on the same y plane, regardless of what the ground is actually doing. I'm probably missing something.
I'm trying to create a vineyard, sprawling over a graded site. Neither vegetation paint, or vegetation scatter allow me to make straight lines of trees. One thing I tried, was making strips of sub regions in my Revit topography before importing to Twinmotions, then scattering on the strips, but the trees land up way too scattered, without clicking 10,000 times.
Hello ,
Thank you for posting in the community your question and I am not sure I completely understand the question. If you can provide the example of the issue and what you are looking for, it would be very helpful.
The paint and scatter tool require a host mesh so it places the tress in function of the slope and location of that mesh. As a workaround you could place a flat plane where you want to scatter/paint the trees and hiding it in the scene graph in your medias.
Another workaround could be to place the trees in Revit as reference objects (like a box), then export just those as a udatasmith file. Import the file with Keep Hierarchy and use the replace function in Twinmotion to select the proper tree species. https://youtu.be/R6rsATORnu4
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Kind regards,
