Is there a way for decals to affect the underlying layer?

Hello, I was wondering if there was a way to make a decal in UE5 displace with POM the material over which it’s applied? Is that even possible?

The result I was looking for is that the decal didn’t necessarily have to be 100% value alpha to work, in case I wanted some kind of dent ot similar effect. Rather than have to colour in the affected area with the exact colour of the underlying surface just to make a dent or some other kind of non-colored damage.
