I have recently learned about the concept of widget switchers and widget stacks which, as far as I know, allow you to swap between widgets to display one at a time from a predefined list of widgets. Currently I have a singular hud widget that includes ~5 other user widgets within it which I just set to visible/hidden depending on context. Is there a performance reason one option would be better over the other or is it more of a matter of convenience?
Mostly for convenience.
But a widget switchers usecase would be more of a “switch between pages” whereas the widget stack is a unified panel that you can push contents onto.
For instance a Stack could be a notification feed that gets multiple notification widgets pushed onto.
And a widget switcher would be for maybe a settings panel in which you can switch between setting categories.
