Is there a possibility to only select the Folder when clicking on an object within that folder? (In viewport)

Like stated above.

If I have a 3d model which contains 100 objects and if I click on sth it just selects the individual Object. There should be an option to "lock" folders/groups so that when you click on something within that group the whole folder/group gets selected.

Edit: I am talking about clicking on something in the viewport. If you click on an object in the viewport that is in an folder u should be able to decide wheter u want to select the individual object or the whole folder.
