I am sure this must be a recurrent question, although I could not find trace of it in any threads:
I wanted to install a demo version of UE4 on my iMac, to test if it actually works on my platform, before I commit to a subscription. Is it possible? How/where can I find a demo installation file/package? Thanks.

As far as I’m aware, there’s no ‘demo’ for either Mac or PC as of the moment. However, I believe you’ll be able to run Unreal Engine 4 with those specs - as there’s people running it on low-end Mac Mini systems.
I’m not sure what the performance on the Mac is like as of the latest release / build, as I’ve not used it recently on that platform. Someone else will probably chime in and let you know, though!
If you do a search around there’s some people that have made stuff with UE4 and have put them up for download, like several Oculus Rift demos are available. But there’s no demo for UE4 itself.
On that computer though the performance is going to be poor, the GPU just isn’t that powerful.
