Sequencer is more like a 3D animation tool like Maya, not like a non-linear editor like Premiere.
Premiere can’t move the camera, can’t make actors go into different positions, and generally can’t really affect the subjects of the clips.
Oh I see. Would that mean, when doing cinematics, the sequencer in UE5 is used to just move the actors and direct the scene, and Premiere/Resolve/After Effects is used to piece footage together, color correct, composite, add lower thirds, etc?
That is one possible workflow, yes!
It is possible to do many of those actions in Unreal as well, both in real time, and in the render queue.
Exactly which workflow works best for you, may depend both on what you’re most used to, and how “real time” you need the action to be.
