I can imagine developers always have to hear users complain and users are never satisfied and always want more and more. We are so hungry, right.
So firstly I want to say that my first impression of the latest version is fantastic. Decals in Pathracing is awesome! I like the new UI, great enhancement and very nice that now 4k monitor is usable with interface scaling . Great job done by the Twinmotion Team.
At first impression I have a little remark on having to drag the objects for scattering from left to the right of the screen; should have been easier to have it next to each other.
Now my hunger is multi-gpu.
I was looking forward to the multi-gpu feature so much, that I was disappointed on that part. Unfortunately it seems not possible to use two different gpu's as in example a 4090 and 3090. So for now it is 'just' multi-gpu on sli?
I was hoping of using multi gpu with different cards is like it is done in other render software like Octanerender. The great advantage of multi gpu with different gpu's is when upgrading to a newer card and (if you have space in your PC of course), you can add the renderpower instead of replacing which gives so much more value to investing a new gpu card.
In 2023 new build PC configurations with sli is almost obsolete. So this new multi gpu feature is great in theory and only great in practice for relatively old sli configurations. i.e. with couple of 1080 cards. But for Pathracing in Twinmotion mutli-gpu might only benefit those who have a dual rtx2080(ti) in sli configuration, or for those who will buy a second 3090 or 4090 to benefit the multi-gpu, but that's probably not worth investing.
So, for me the big question to the developing team is :"are you working on making it possible to use different (rtx) cards in the multi-gpu and make us jump from joy or do you think it is just not possible to make that happen in Twinmotion?”
