I dont think you should discount what’s being said there Luftbaunch. Pirating things is (at least in part) cultural. It isn’t recognized by most people as stealing on an emotional level. Sure we know it is, but we don’t have nearly the same rush or guilt as walking into a store and grabbing something off the shelf. So when your parents have been pirating music and games for 20 years it’s unlikely they’re going to do much scolding on the topic. Which means cultural change will have to come from people in positions of authority that do care: And maybe that is good youtube casters, or maybe it is someone else.

I’ve lived next to indians who came from India… And you are right. They don’t seem to care. They were never taught it is wrong to pirate. (I am not saying they all do it… But it is a real bad problem.)
And this problem will never go away. It’s ingrained into their minds to pirate software. It would take about 400 years of soviet memory wiping to get rid of it. It is cultural.

I blame the economy and caste system in India for this bad cultural shift. I hope they get money and wake up.
