Hi,
I have a Metahuman in sequencer.
There is a walk cycle on the Metahuman. This all works.
I then used LiveLink to record face animation and head rotation.
In TakeRecorder the “body” is checked and “face” is checked.
The issue I have encountered is that head rotation is part of the “body” when LiveLink/TakeRecorder records.
And even though I am only interested in head rotation and not doing anything with my arms, TakeRecorder will record the arms in the neutral position along with head rotation.
So if I put the saved “body” animation into the empty track in the picture above - I get the head moving correctly - but the arm data in the neutral position is affecting the walk cycle.
What I really want is to somehow extract just the head rotation on the neck bones from the saved “body” animation. I have tried different things - including going to Maya and deleting everything except the neck/head bones - this unsurprisingly did not work.
I also tried creating new IK rigs and excluding the bones I wasn’t interested in - but this also didn’t seem to work.
When looking at the subsequence of the “body” animation that is saved from TakeRecorder there aren’t any curves either - at least not accessible - otherwise I would have deleted all the curves, except for those controlling the neck.
I brought the “body” animation into Maya to see if there was anything that would work there and I have the curves - so will try and export those.
Any ideas would be great. And if this can’t be done, that would also be good to know.
Thanks
