I’m currently trying to track progress of bug report UE-11266. At this point I’m constantly ue4 staff about when and in which version of UE4 will bug be fixed, but it would be more efficient for me and them if I could just look it up myself.
Hi jechli,
At moment our bug database is only accessible internally. We are looking into options to make status of bugs visible to users in future, but we do not have a set timetable for if or when this capability will be available.
I know this is not a forum, but I’d like to know if there is a status update (irony) of requested ability to see bug reports.
Its been half a year later, and I assume there has been at least talk in office about some ideas on how to accomplish this.
We have a number of things that need to work properly before a public bug tracking system can be implemented. We are still working on it, and we’ll make an announcement when we have something. Thanks for your patience.
Soooo…
Any news? ;D
Not at this time.
Any news??
Hi Legioner,
Unfortunately we do not yet have anything to announce with regards to a publicly viewable bug database. There have been discussions going on internally with regards to what it would look like and how it would work, but nothing definite has happened yet.
What about now? Updates?
Hi GxD,
We made the Unreal Engine Issues site available to everyone a few months ago. You can look over currently open bugs there, as well as see what has been fixed. If you are looking for a specific bug ticket that isn’t available there, just post a comment wherever that issue was reported to ask for ticket to be made public and we will look it over to see if we can do that.
This is great progress! Is there a way to browse open bugs? I’m interested in attempting to contribute. I’m not ambitious or creative enough to propose features for the mighty UE, but finding complaints that are within my wheelhouse and trying to fix them is a lot of fun. I only see a handful of bugs on that Issues page though; it seems like one needs the specific issue number to track anything. Am I missing a link to the overall list?
