Greetings!
So I have no experience with modding and thought that with the world coming to a stop and having lots of free time it’d be the perfect time to start learning. To start off with I’m interested in redesigning the Ark HUD to make it more RPG like, with a red health bar in the center of the screen and a green stamina bar etc… Before starting the process of learning how to use the unreal engine and the Ark dev kit and learning to create HUD elements etc, I thought I should look into what is and isn’t possible through modding with Ark, is it even possible to move or change the vanilla HUD? do you need the games source code to do that. I don’t want to waste my time basically.
I have barely any knowledge on this stuff and thought it’d be best to ask here.
