Hi there. From what I’m understanding, there is no way currently to package a project to both Windows and Mac unless you are running on one of those platforms yourself? In my case, I’m running MacOS Catalina and I want to package my game to Windows 10. Is there a workaround to make this possible that doesn’t involve using a Virtual machine?
the short answer is no.
Unreal Engine 4 can only pack the Windows if you are on windows. You can try to do it on a virtual machine, but I don’t know if it will work.
Okay, thanks for the info.
I am doing the opposite, I have windows and need to package to iOS. At first I tried doing the virtual machine but it got messy. Then the head of IT at my company offered to sell me an old mac for $100.
I now have it set up so I never have to leave Windows, and I select “Remote Build” to my mac over my local network. But yes it helps to own one of each device. If you want to build cross-platform games why not start building up your equipment
Hi!
I’m on a mac and need to package for windows. I have both a windows machine and a mac machine. How would I go about setting up the remote build? Is there a tutorial I could watch?
