As the title asks, Is it possible? I am trying to import a 3d mesh, fbx file, into unreal. It’s been importing for over twelve hours now. It’s about 60mb. It has fibermesh hair. I saw another thread asking about importing zbrush fibermesh, but it’s from 2014. Answers were pretty much saying it’s not possible. I’m hoping it’s changed.
Looking for same. Have you found the answer to this?
untick remove degenerate triangles on import, ue4 looks at the distance between edges to decide if it should delete them, and on ultra-high poly mesh, it takes years to go through every triangle.
Untick build adjacency buffer too.
Untick generate missing collision.
that should significantly improve import times.
