Around 1:15 in the video, the viewer gives input to the interactive art piece and it does cool stuff like spawn new particles and do a pulse etc.
Pretty new to the whole thing. So I looked up a bunch of videos but nothing quite explains how to do something similar. Is it possible with UE5? And if yes what are the resources that I should look into to do something similar?
Yes, it is possible and achievable within a medium amount of learnings and practices (a few months to a year of practice and work). There are more things at play here than just particles. There are transitions which reminds me a lot of post process effects which can also be created within Unreal Engine. → Here are some I have made myself ← .
Now, if you have never touched shaders, Niagara or Unreal Engine before, this will be a lot of work; but achievable, absolutely yes! Here is somewhat of a tutorial for a somewhat similar effect, but still missing a lot of the elements and transitions: Let's build this Unreal Niagara particle sim within 6 minutes - YouTube
