Is it possible to create multiple Characters that share animations?


I guess the title explains allready what I want to know. Is it possible to make multiple Character Meshes that share the same animations so I only have to create Animations once? If so, what would be the workflow?

you use the same Skeletal System.

  1. use the same rigg for all characters
  2. create the animations
  3. import the char + animations into the UE4
  4. import another character skeletal mesh
  5. double click onto one of the animations from the 1st char → right click onto one of the animations → “Create a copy for another …”

You don’t need use the same rig. Only the same skeleton hierarquia.
