For example i have a 16x16 pixels black and white gif animation and i have 16x16 cubes wall - i need to push forward cube if pixel, that corresponse to it is black, and push back to the place, if pixel change to white. Thank you for any help
I did not tackle this problem in a year or so (reading pixel from texture or gif). But last time i checked you needed C++ and reading texture pixels was not trivial.
UE4 - Reading the pixels from a UTexture2D - Isara Tech. this is what i found so far - so, i believe, i must learn how to implement C++ code to my project and this will be a hard task, because i’m noob at programming. Thanks anyway!
Udemy has great C++ course for unreal made by “GameDev.tv by Ben Tristem”
You need like first 3 chapters and that doc about reading pixels will make sense.
Then next step would be finding how to load and handle gifs.
However GIF is proprietary format, and i think you cannot use it without licence.
NVM GIF is free since 2006.
Wow, thanks alot!
