Is it possible to animate a socket?

Hi guys I have a quick question, I have a character with target morphs imported to Unreal, I made a rig base on joints with blendshapes applied and some aniamtions are not dependent on any joint so , when I am trying to attach a had or whatever additional skin to the head I have motion but no joint followeing that motion. Is it possible to animate the socket in any way?
