I always wondered if this was something that could be done - save the file location of an asset (in this case an image/texture) and then load/reference it using that location.
Yes, UE4 load files from packages and uasset is single file package, you can load up package using this function
I never did that myself so im not sure if it gonna work as expected
If by address you mean http url, that won’t work, you need to download file first using HTTP module.
