Is it possible for future versions to have split views. Utilizing the camera as a live view to frame your scene in addition to orthographic views open at the same time for placement of assets?

Example: once you get your camera where you want it and take your first still, it would be nice to split the screen and work in another orthographic view for placement of assets.

The camera view would stay fixed and give you immediate feedback when your placing assets utilizing one of the orthographic views.

Example: As you place trees in the background you would immediately see the placement in your camera view to know they are effecting the scene the way you would like.

I imagine having my camera view open and then working in a birds eye view for placement of assets around my scene and see immediate feedback in camera view to know they are positioned correctly in my scene.

As of now you have to go back and forth between what you see in your view and repositioning yourself in the 3d space and repositioning assets.

A more efficient workflow could be achieved by eliminating much of the back and forth.

Currently not possible, but fully agree that this would be a great function to have. It is also in the roadmap, so hopefully it will come in the future versions of the software. For now, you could go on the roadmap and vote on it here: https://portal.productboard.com/epicgames/3-twinmotion-public-roadmap/c/785-multi-camera-view

Great feature . Yes to allowing docking of TM UI to an additional screen.

I also upvoted the roadmap Multi-Camera View feature request, along with other comments (including the 2nd monitor idea). One of the shortfalls of the roadmap system is that users who add their comments don't have the benefit of those comments being seen by other users, so I appreciate Emre's suggestion that the conversaion continues in the Discussion groups. Hopefully Epic/ the moderators will take note.

After I posted I visited the road map and viewed it as a feature request.

I should have gone there first?

I did cast my vote for this feature.

Also the example in the road map made it look like the media/camera was docked to the bottom left of the 3D environment. That was probably a mock up to illustrate as an example.

I would like the media / camera to be moved to a 2nd monitor or split screen on a large monitor. The 3d environment workspace is already to small I would not want something else taking up that screen real estate.

Chief Architect and other 3D visualization software already incorporate these features; therefore the code is there and should not have to be invented.

Thank you for responding.

I think its still good to have a discussion about it here - the roadmap doesn't really allow for the details to be seen to others. so the forum is a better place to explain the possibilities of such a tool.

This feature is absolutely essential. It is comical trying to compose a view at the moment, trying to move assets, trees, etc around in the viewport with the comically small and difficult to use rotator / move tool. We often need to shift objects around behind the camera to make correct shadow fall at the moment have to skip in and out of the view, try and find which asset to move, then go back to the still frame check, then go back again - its absolutely tedious and does not need to be this way.
