Hello,
I’m trying to collaborate with a member of my team on a map, but one of the editor doesn’t receive any real time update and shows no member connected, while the other editor works as expected and also shows the other member connected.
The Live Edit instead works, for both the members, ma still the corresponding editor just does not receive any real time update.
The project is backed by revision control and is assigned to the right team, and members are set as administrator.
Is it not yet implemented or am I missing something?
Hey there! I work on the UEFN documentation team, let me see if I can help you troubleshoot this issue.
Is your teammate trying to join you on UEFN in a joint session, or from Fortnite Creative?
For your teammate to join you from Fortnite Creative, you have to playtest the project. This way you will appear in your teammate’s Friends List in Fortnite. And as long as you are both on the same team the project belongs to, your teammate should be able to select you from the Friends List and click ‘JOIN’.
If they are trying to join you from UEFN and are being blocked, make sure the project belongs to the same team as you and your teammate. If the project does belong to the same team, then have your teammate restart their PC.
If problems still persist, let me know and I’ll escalate the issue to the UEFN engineering team. I hope this was helpful!
thank you for your time. Just a quick question: two members of a team, working on the same project should be able to see each others edits in real time in UEFN? Just like in a multi-session in UE5, where you can see an avatar of the other user connected?
We managed to collaborate, using revision control, but I can’t see the changes in real time.
I see, but in UE5 there’s this workflow in which you start a multi-session and can see other connected member and work in real-time. Just like the Creative mode in Fortnite. Is it not yet implemented in UEFN? Can we expect to see this feature in the future?
I asked, but I don’t think I ever got an answer. I have a meeting with the URC team today. i’ll ask in the meeting whether this is something that is being worked on and coming in a future release.
