Is Chaos geometry collection caching broken in 4.24+?

Hi, I’ll try to be short.
Me and my team are working on a VR project that is supposed to have lots of cinematic destruction. We started in 4.23, then upgraded to 4.24.3 when it was released. The intention always was to use cached geometry collections. This month we finally got the VFX artist to start working on it. And apparently he can not. The caching is simply not working at all. Obviously we can’t downgrade. And according to info I found online it’s also broken in 4.25 so upgrading would be pointless.

Therefor I have to questions:

  1. Is it really broken or maybe we are missing something?
  2. If it is broken is there any intention of fixing it in the observable future?
