Is Anyone Else Having COnstant Slow Downs Now?

I was just curious if anyone else is experiencing slow downs in the editor.

I’m not really sure why, but all of a sudden this weekend the editor has just been acting up.

There is no way to work on everything as after simply moving the mouse, the editor freezes for several seconds.

After a few moments, it seems fine, but the next mouse movement just causes the problem again.

The worst part is, it’s a problem with the engine itself apparently.

I’ve tried Cryengine, Stingray, Lumberyard, Source, even UDK and Cryengine 3…

They all work fine.

Games are running great.

Yet, for some reason, UE4 is experiencing constant slow downs.

This has actually been an on and off problem for me (so it’s definitely not the engine version), but this time it’s ten times worse than it usually is and it fails to go away.

Any ideas?

Hmm never experienced this myself.

So this has happened to you on multiple versions of the engine?

What is your PC setup?

Check something else on your system isn’t interfering with it. I’ve had that problem with a certain release of EVGA Precision that had a bugged x64 executable that slowed the editor down to a crawl whenever it was running in the background as a service. Sometimes other software on your system just messes with it.

I haven’t had any slow downs, but 4.10 introduces the first crash for me which happens whenever I drag select in the material editor. Other than that, everything seems fine on my end within my particular use of the engine.

I don’t have any major slowdowns, even though my PC is very slow itself.
