[iOS] [Remote Build] Unable to determine home directory for remote user

Hello,

I can’t build my Blueprints-only project on my windows PC due this error:

Remote compiling requires a server name. Please specify one in the Remote Server Name settings field.

What I had tried:

  • Use default icons
  • Build with both UE4 versions (from github and epic games launcher)
  • Disabled nativization, remote shader compiling, etc.
  • Reinstall iTunes (installed one from Apple site - uninstalled one from Microsoft Store)
  • I don’t use any third party plugins (I also disabled all build in plugins that I don’t use. “Plugins” button is not in my ue4 editor since that (was under “Project Settings…” before - this is not problem I’m asking to solve, but it would be nice, to get that button back if somebody know)

And I still got that error, so I decided to rent a mac on the macincloud site. When I try to remote build there, I have got this error:

PackagingResults: Error: Unable to determine home directory for remote user.

Connection should work fine. Checked with DeltaCopy Client.

What I had tried there:

  • copy SSH key into project directory
  • added full control to “Users” on SSH key
  • and everything I tried to solve previous error

I will appreciate any ideas how to solve this problem.

Thank you

Solution: I migrated whole project. Now I can build without mac.
