IOS development on windows impossible?!

So I’ve bought the Apple developer, I’ve used the iOS package wizard to create certificates, keys and all that good stuff. I’ve been able to upload it to the project settings in the editor and it says valid and is showing green when non of the boxes are checked but when I check them it changes from green to gray. The problem I’m having is in the launch drop menu my phone that I’ve added as my device is not showing up at all? I’ve looked almost everywhere and can’t seem to find an actual answer for it.

im pretty sure you need a mac to compile and package for apple. that should be the case for compiling for macs, but for handheld ios it may be different. just looked it up, to build for apple you need a mac. the link below has the info.

google hackintonsh or OSx86. it runs just fine in my virtualbox on a pc  just a few tweaks and IOS is booting fine in a vm…

You need a IOS running somewhere in your lan to do remote compile from a windows pc. but I guess a launch on IOS devices from the windows pc is simply not possible. You can create a IPA the remote compile way and need to install it.

Sorry for being a noob haha but what is a VM and how do I get started on getting into that? Thanks guys and sorry

Looked it up, I get it now. And you guys have been able to test launch a level on your IOS device using PC from using this method?

yea if i were to try it i’d probably try using a VM as well.
