So - after updating, i decided to break down my map into much smaller sections …
Deleted all my NEAR and FAR
Remade the near and far into different sections of my map …
Now, when i upload and play on my server, i get stuck on all the trees … that … i … deleted.
Also, all the rocks i deleted, i get stuck on those to!
How do i know ? because i can punch invisible trees and gather resources! Pickaxe invisible nodes of rock and metal and gain resources!
I’m 100% sure that Wildcard Studios is running into these exact issues, right? I mean, how can they not…<blank look> ?
Anyone else run into issues with deleting items from the map and still the level thinks they are there? I even deleted my “far.umap” and that didnt help at all. They were ALL on FAR and NEAR … how can the game still think they are there if the map isnt there for them ???
its there! i saved, its gone!
wait i clicked on “landscape” and now its back! wait, its not on the server … oh wait … now its not in the editor anymore … its back! maybe walking away to grab a drink makes clutter show? That’s worked for me a couple times. Once, it was gone, and for no apparent reason, it came back on ONE section of the map. That’s all, one square tile.
Why are all these things so **** broken? Don’t give me that **** line of “its the editor” because its not.
Do note even if you remove the files from ur ADK mod/map they will still be in your cooked folder and thus still be uploaded, On a even worse note, The files will still be on the client so every one who has the files downloaded will still see them, only way around this is to keep the files but empty them, cook them (so ul upload ur new files and the old empty files) that will basicly delete the content in the files for the client aswell after that you can delete the old files.
This is why its very smart to know your file layout from the start, dont change the file names cos they will be duplicate etc etc
No it means you need to remake umap files with the same name as the ones you deleted and leave them blank for a update, this will update all client files with empty umap files leaving only the ones you want to have content with content, after the first update you can delete them again.
basicly steam workshop can create files, alter files but never delete files
