I used blender 2.8 to make my mesh, armature, and animation. I made it export as an fbx. with only the mesh and armature. I have only deform bones and no leafy bones in the settings. When it is imported to unreal engine 4 and I make a new skeleton from the one imported, the mesh has lost its texture and the animation is invisible.
FOR ANYONE HAVING THIS ISSUE!
- In blender (2.8 for me) go to the scene properties tab.
- Go to units and change the metric scale to 0.01
My animations were very tiny so you have to change the metric scale so that it translates over to UE4’s metric system.
