Invalid or corrupted input data

Hi,

We have been having an issue of getting the “Invalid or corrupted input data” when doing a reconstruction.  This happened on a couple machines.  Using Preview quality works but not normal and high quality.

Today I used a version running in Demo mode and the data worked.  I then updated to PPI using an anonymous license and the issue came back.  Also last week we were able to generate a model and export it from PPI.

We have tried the Shift reset option on startup which has no impact.  Also a week ago we were able to write out some geometry.  As well as loading a model created in demo mode into PPI and writing it out.

I should add that this is only the case with imported scan data.  Data generated from photogrammetry seems to work as normal.

I am having the same issue as well. Has anyone been able to get it working correctly? Normal and High reconstruction do not work with scan data, only sometimes Preview.

Same here, my work is now put on hold because of this issue. It all started with the new PPI licencing

Hello guys,

there is a bug on our side. This error appears with a PPI version when you are running a reconstruction only from the laser scans. When you combine them with images, it should be working fine. We are treating this with the highest priority. Thanks Zuzana,

One possible workaround is to use the Demo version to create the reconstruction and then load the file into the PPI version to write it out.  Haven’t tested it much but seems to work.

So there is no official fix for this?  Its been 2 weeks.

The issue will be fixed in the upcoming release. If you are blocked with your projects, please send us a message to with a reference to this thread and we will resolve this individually in the meantime.

Same issue happend to me however only when I want to reconstruct Projects from the previous version with the new version.

I am getting this issue with only photos and the model is created without any problems, it only occurs when I have created a simplified mesh and then try to texture it. This is very frustrating, and suggested fixes?
