Introduction to the Community

Hello there. Inferno Here. I’m new. I’m working on my Bachelor Degree for Game Development. One of our assignments is to make a post here and talk about our game background. So here goes nothing. Video games have been my life for years. Play them all the time, regardless of platform, genre, and release date. It wasn’t hard to figure out in high school that I wanted to work with games for a living. Since then, I’ve been working towards it, despite all the opportunities I’ve lost for one reason or another. Recently, I’ve begun to think that I’d like my work to involve more of the story-writing side of things. Although I’d still like to improve my programming skills, which still have a long way to go. But I’m trying to remain optimistic and keep moving forward. I have a lot of coding experience, having worked with tons of coding languages from Alice, C++, HTML, JavaScript, Python, and Visual Basic. My game design experience is pretty minimal, really just a few primitive text-adventure games, editing maps Neverwinter Nights, and playing around with Minecraft code. So, I’m sure a lot of you pros on this site are pretty underwhelmed. Honestly, I’d like to get much better at game design, or at least modding. Not gonna lie, all the stuff I’ve seen involving Unreal Engine just blows me away (like this graphic redesign of one of my favorite games, Resident Evil 2: Resident Evil 2 Remake -fan UDK proj- Leon B Full Walkthrough - YouTube). At the very least, I’d like to be able to get good enough to do something like this with Unreal, or failing that, have a team of peers who help me make it possible. So, if you feel like chatting with me, go ahead. I probably don’t have much to offer in terms of skill, but I always enjoy hearing from others. This assignment isn’t graded, so it doesn’t do any damage to my GPA if you’re not up for it. But hopefully, I can at least get to know some of the pros here. Hope to hear from you guys.

we work with all skill levels
! I run a small co-op of like-minded engineers, devs, and artists, who love to share. Just like Unreal Marketplace assets can be shared for development, I want to offer you an opportunity to help us develop “virtual concerts.” Please, contact me if you would like to hear about how we share my > 1800 packs from the marketplace. Reach me at pjschieck@aol.com, https://build-a-concert.com, and check out numerous “Unreal Co-Op” videos I’ve shared on my YouTube (search for Pete Schieck).

Thank you petechic. I really appreciate that.

Hi.

Here is a link to the art book of most assets. I built this as a way to quickly browse through the portfolio. Our first template is a 5.1.1 pack about 50 GB. I also have my industrial, C#, and SQL server app I built on GitHub at petechic/modserve

I will send you the 50 GB template (which is approximately 2% of the portfolio) on a USB stick, once you start the conversation. I also hope you will watch the Unreal co-op videos on the YouTube (again, search for Pete Schieck), as these go over the assets, and the Epic Games panthership, for sharing them.

By the way, due to the news, we will be doing our marketing for Unreal Engine in Fortnite, and Bandcamp (we are, after all, build-a-concert)…

Please, start communicating on my email, at pjschieck@aol.com

Feel free to call. (U.S.A.) 916-804-2809

Hi all!
My name is Oksana and I am a part of the Artstash team. We are building the platform for Unreal Engine users that will help to render, organise, preview and manage Unreal Engine sequences and assets on cloud.
We created our first prototype and I am very excited to share it with you. Here is the overview:

I would really like to hear what you think about this platform - so it would be amazing if you could share your comments in threads :raised_hands:

Welcome to the community. My name is Somit Vishwakarma, a designer and developer.
