Introduction n stuff

New to the forum so figured I’d post a quick introduction. I’m Mike a 29year old in search of a hobby. Way back when I used to do level design for call of duty (I hear it’s called classic now) I made the Tuscany map that’s about on cod2 - found it randomly on YouTube the other day couldn’t believe it’s been a decade but kids n stuff made time fly.

Anyway why am I here on ue4? I always wanted to build a hobby game and I recently saw probuilder was making a ue4 version and I’d like a tool like that as a baseline for my development.

Few points, I never expect to make any money, I doubt it’ll come close to AAA of 2010 let alone 2017 and I’m not forming a team. I just want to explore and expand my idea, my somewhat controversial idea.

I’m looking to develop a single player ww2 game from the perspective of a member of the hitler youth, covering the character arc from Hitler’s youth and in awe of Hitler to a member of the resistance, im working under a title of ‘revelation’ but it’s early days and I’m basically going through planning.

I have little modelling and less animation experience but I want to play and have fun, live and learn. I’m too long in the tooth to think about breaking into the industry I got a family, a full time job and a degree on the go - this is going to be my escape lol
