Introducing Unreal Dev Grants

Still getting our feet back on the ground here in NC  We’ll be working with applications for acknowledgements as soon as we can! Rest assured, we are getting the submissions.

@ZenrokStudios - I’ve got yours :slight_smile:

Awesome!

Great to hear that

Hey ! I sent my submission back on the 20th and noticed that I left out a couple of details I wanted to mention that were probably left out due to the excitement of the possibility

Between that and my OneDrive links acting funky lately, I got some new links and forward off some more material for you just in case. Even though I didn’t see any views on my video, I didn’t get a rejected email address so I’m staying positive it made it in. Take care and hope is having a great week!

Thanks!

If I understand right, does this work as an fund to developers? Can one buy softwares and tools with this fund if the application meets the form?

" The best part? There are absolutely no strings attached. Your project remains yours; you own your IP and publishing rights and you can spend any funds however you like. Epic’s goal is simply to help UE4 developers succeed because when you succeed, we succeed."

Amazing  Of course I understand that EPIC expect you to deliver a solid product for release, or is this for a one-man team hobbyist as well?

of course , like they said :
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
“ANYONE” MAKING COOL THINGS WITH UE4

Glad to see you all got back from GDC safely! Wish I could have been there to show off my UI plugin in person rather than over email. (Hope you received it!)

I still think this program is an amazing service to the community, other companies should follow Epic as an example of how to run an active and friendly community.

I wonder if I did something wrong, as I just received an email from the accounting and billing support when I sent the email to unrealdevgrants@unrealengine.com.

Hope everything is ok

Heya! Make sure its sent to unrealdevgrants@epicgames.com  that’s probably why you saw the bounceback.

Hey , i mistyped it here, i actually sent to .

For some reason that we couldn’t understand my mails were being redirected to another department, the guy who received my email forwarded it to the grants team.

Please let me know if you guys received it, if not I’ll make another email account and send it again.

Thank you!

Edit: All right, I’ve created another email and sent it again with some updates, better safe than sorry! Thank you guys again for the customer support, you all are making a huge difference.

Just Submitted Proposal over E-Mail to our game,

Our game depicts the “new space economy” as being pioneered by SpaceX, Planetary Resources, and space agencies around the world. Players found their own company, picking highly unique perks and starting technology focus. Then they build infrastructure, plan missions, and set up co-dependent production chains around the solar system!

We’re hoping for this game to be the first of many science-focused experiences! We’ve been talking with groups at NASA, the NSS, real world asteroid mining companies, and tech incubators to try and use this game as a tool for outreach and as a business motivation for the next generation of space entrepreneurs!

If anybody has interest in joining our efforts - our email is - we are based in Seattle but with contributors around the globe. Skilled animation artists, UI designers, and programmers who have a sick desire to improve astrodynamics calculations are what we need most, but I want to hear from!

Cheers!

hello! I have a question. I sent the letter to you to mail , but I received Bot’s message from Unreal Dev Grants <unrealdevgrants@unrealengine.zendesk.com>
##- Please type your reply above this line -##
Thank you for using Unreal Engine 4. Your request (20904) has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff. You should be contacted within 24-48 hours.
I sent correctly? it is necessary only to wait or I made something not so?

Hey, since I didn’t find where to change my UE4 account mail, I had to send the request for my team from a different mail. Can that be a problem? We didn’t get anything back yet, so I just wanted to ask  I wrote about that in my E-Mail, too. Sent the request using r.klimonow (-at-) chaoscore.net, UE4 account is rdalon (-at-) gmx.net.

Hope you received it!

Hey all - we had a problem with the auto-response being the same as the customer service response (that a lot of have reported) and are working to get it ratified  Disregard those in the mean time.

Also, I can assure you we are receiving’s submissions. Look for more follow up to come!

Hey! turns out not to worry that he was writing a bot from 24-48 hours and wait for a response ?

I don’t currently have a timeline for if/when we’ll be responding to the applications. Will keep his thread updated as things change!

heh . Thanks for the answer ! With peace of mind I will wait for a response from you =)

Best of luck to everybody!
