Interactive Grass Animation Inaccuracies

I recently developed an interactive grass system using a shell texturing approach. When interacting with an object, the grass vertices should seamlessly move away from the object. Currently there is popping and direction discrepancies, as shown in the video clip above. I am wondering if anyone on here is willing to take a look. Thanks!
