Gonna start this off by saying that, I hope I post this in the right topic.
So Hello everyone, im here asking for help or atleast some clarification as to how can I acheive this. I want to be able to show interactive archviz projects on a website and im gonna give you practical example of what I want to do, and then ill ask if its possible, and how can it be done.
So I have a client, who requests me to do an interactive presentation of an apartment, and I create this said apartment in 3D, add all the furniture, materials and decoration, implement the blueprints, light and everything. I export the project and add it to the website, the project itself allows the client to swap materials, change furnite, change the day, month, year and hour of the day, walk around the apartment and do all of those things and probably more. The way the client can acess this project is by logging in into my website, go into a certain page inside my website and inside this said page, theres a screen or section that allows the client to press a “run” button and the Unreal project will fire up and run, just like it would when you run the .exe on a computer.
I hope my explanation was clear.
I know how to build websites, and I have done interactive projects like this in the past, but the only way I show it to clients is by sending the entire exported project to them and then explain how to run it. The problem with this is, sometimes the client is not good with computers or has a weak computer witch makes the project slow, and yes I could optimize it further, but when clients have a 10-20 year old computer, theres only so much I can do. So it would be best to have the project running on a website, and running either on a rented server, or a computer, my computer for example. But I have no idea how to do this, ive tried to look into pixel streaming and it does work but I cant implement it in my own website and make it accesable online, only in LAN, I dont know why maybe im missing something.
To anyone who reads this, hopefully someone can point me to the proper documentation, a step by step guide, a youtube tutorial, anything that can teach me how to do this from start to finish, and possibly a cheap way of doing it, because Streampixel´s 99€ per month service is a bit to expensive for what I earn right now.
