Thanks! Turning off AutoHide worked!
I too have had this problem for quite sometime. Seems to happen for me when GPU is getting low on memory even and the issue is isolated to the editor. Frequent editor restarts typically prevent and/or fix the problem. Reducing GPU usage fixes the problem.
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 19045) (19041.vb_release.191206-1406)
Processor: AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5975WX 32-Cores (64 CPUs), ~3.6GHz
Memory: 131072MB RAM
It’s been 2 years and this still hasn’t been fixed. I know there is a workaround with disabling auto hide, but I don’t want to change my PC’s settings just to make the editor usable!!!
I have a pretty good PC too:
Ryzen 5600X
64G DDR4
RX 7900XTX
How has this not been fixed after all this time?
Yeah, thanks a lot guys, I hope if many people report this problem (I will) then we can all contribute a bit, so the devs notice the bug (and other people stumble over this can fix it in their system). Disabling auto-hide Taskbar works perfectly for me.
I had the same issue in version 5.4.1, disabling auto hide fixed it.
Strange. I have exactly the same problem, but when I turned off “disable automatic hiding of the taskbar” nothing changed.
I have a GTX 1650 Super video card.
I did a little research on the problem itself to understand how it works. UE optionally reduces the frame rate itself when I aim at something. For example, if I have a limit of 60 fps, then when hovering it will reduce to 30/20/15. When I set it to 70, it reduces to 35/22/16.
Has anyone found another solution to this problem?
