Hello everyone,
I am currently working on a project in Unreal Engine and am interested in integrating the new Xbox avatars. I have been using the Microsoft Game Development Kit (GDK) for various Xbox services and was wondering if there is any support or guidance for implementing the new avatars in Unreal Engine.
I’ve looked through the official GDK documentation and the Unreal Engine integration guides, but I haven’t found any specific information on how to use the new avatars. Here are some key points and questions I have:
- Availability: Are the new avatars usable at all? In the XDK with the legacy avatar, I can directly find many options that used to be available.
- Current support: Does the Unreal Engine support the new Xbox avatars through the GDK or another official plugin?
- APIs and libraries: Are there any specific APIs or libraries provided by Microsoft or Unreal Engine to integrate these avatars?
- Example projects: Has anyone successfully implemented the new Xbox avatars into their Unreal Engine project? If so, could you give us some insights or examples?
- Best Practices: What are the best practices for integrating Xbox-specific features into Unreal Engine, especially for avatars?
Overall, this would save me a lot of assets since each user already brings their own and I would only need to provide basic assets.
Any advice, resources or experience sharing would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your help.
