Instanced Meshes with a skeletal mesh


I made a vehicle in 3ds max and 1 part of this vehicle is several times exactly the same.
If this would be a static mesh i would instance it.
Could i maybe… do the same with a skeletal mesh?

The parts the are always the same and they have no bones or do anything special.
They are just there because they are supposed to be there where they are.


Its on the Roadmap since 4.15 i think, hope also for an experimental release in 4.21.

If there are no bones - then it should be a static mesh. (Static mesh supports sockets so you can attach parts )
