Instanced animated characters in UE4?

Hi All,

can ‘out of the box’ UE4 do instancing on animated character?

As described in this GPU Gems 3 article “Chapter 2. Animated Crowd Rendering”](http://http.developer.nvidia.com/GPUGems3/gpugems3_ch02.html).

If not, has anyone programmed their own version of it?

Unfortunately not…

Shame…I don’t know how much work it would be but I could imagine it would could be a popular plugin if it was well integrated.

I need to do some big stadium type crowds and would love to be able to use simple animated geometry.

Maybe you could manipulate instanced static meshes to look like animated humans…
